Galaxy Digital expanded its presence in the United States by announcing a 15-year partnership with Texas Tech University. The agreement involves initiatives in the areas of college sports, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrencies, in addition to granting the company naming rights to the institution's main football stadium.

Starting in the 2026 season, the traditional Jones AT&T Stadium will be renamed Galaxy Stadium. The company will also be recognized as the university's official partner in data center infrastructure and digital assets, reinforcing its expansion strategy in the technology sector and its closer ties with educational institutions.

The contract values were not officially disclosed. However, U.S. media outlets reported that the agreement exceeds US$ 70 million over the 15-year term, equivalent to approximately US$ 4,7 million per year.

In addition to the stadium naming rights, Galaxy Digital will develop marketing and sponsorship campaigns with Texas Tech athletes. Its brand will also be present on the football and men's and women's basketball teams, including activations during games and on the university athletic department's digital platforms and social media.

The partnership also seeks to bring students closer to the company. Galaxy intends to expand the hiring of Texas Tech graduates to work at the Helios campus, its data center complex located in Dickens County, in West Texas.

In a statement, Galaxy Digital founder and CEO Mike Novogratz highlighted the importance of the partnership for the company's plans.

"Texas Tech is exactly the kind of institution we want to be aligned with. At our Helios campus, in neighboring Dickens County, we are building the infrastructure that drives the code-based economy."

The Helios campus has already received investments of billions of dollars and has a planned capacity of 1,6 gigawatts. The complex ranks among the largest data centers in North America, meeting the growing demand for infrastructure geared toward artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies.

The announcement reinforces a trend observed among companies in the sector, which have been expanding their presence in college and professional sports. Recently, Ripple signed an agreement with the University of Kansas to feature the XRP brand on the institution's sports uniforms, in addition to supporting financial and technology education initiatives for student-athletes.

Another company that has also gained ground in this market was IREN, a company specializing in cloud computing with artificial intelligence. Last month, it signed a contract to display its brand on Golden State Warriors uniforms. According to information released by the U.S. press, the agreement exceeds US$ 50 million per season, making it one of the largest sponsorship deals in American sports.
