xStocks are tokenized stocks backed 1:1 by the underlying asset. This means the token’s value aims to stay aligned with the value of the item supporting it, providing a legal claim over the amount of the asset.

In addition, xStocks can be integrated into DeFi protocols, allowing composability within the decentralized ecosystem like other tokens. This flexibility makes it easier to use them in different on-chain flows without changing the product’s backing logic.

What it is used for in access to ETFs and stocks

The goal of Nasdaq xStock (QQQX) is to allow regular users to access 57 U.S. stocks and ETFs through centralized and decentralized exchanges. As a result, exposure to traditional markets can be combined with the crypto trading experience.
