Mu Digital muBOND (MUBOND) is a token linked to tokenized fixed-income operations, focused on assets backed by securities. The protocol’s objective is to bring Asia-based fixed-income assets onchain by structuring credit products into tradable tokens.

How the tranche structure works

At Mu Digital, credit products such as government securities, corporate bonds, and private credit are organized into two onchain tokens. muBOND represents the junior tranche, created to absorb portfolio volatility at the composition and performance level.

Tokenization and transparency

The tokenized assets are held by regulated offchain entities, with third-party services for support and reporting. In addition, the protocol publishes onchain data to increase transparency regarding portfolio composition and the associated yield.

Use of muBOND in the DeFi ecosystem

muBOND was designed for integration with DeFi applications, including decentralized exchanges, lending markets, and yield management platforms. As a result, the tokens can be used to expand participation in liquidity flows and yield management.
