Gold DAO (GOLDAO) is a Real World Assets (RWA) project that transforms physical gold bars into tokenized assets. The proposal combines the traditional value of the metal with blockchain infrastructure to enable more accessible ownership and transfer.

How gold tokenization works

The system tokenizes real bars into Gold tokens and gold-backed stablecoins. To represent ownership of the asset, Gold DAO uses GLD NFTs that point to gold bars stored in Switzerland.

These NFTs have traceable ownership and are designed to facilitate transfer. The construction takes place in the ORIGYN ecosystem, within the Internet Computer (ICP) protocol.

Decentralized governance on Internet Computer

Gold DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) operating via SNS-DAO on Internet Computer (ICP). Holders of the GLDGov token can participate with voting rights to guide the direction of the project.

In a proposal process, the community decided to grant the DAO.Link team control over the project's development and daily operations.

Audit and process transparency

To reinforce the transparency and reliability of the model, the GLD NFTs are triple-audited by KPMG. The structure was designed to reduce the need for traditional financial intermediaries.
