- Charles Hoskinson proposes a new Discord server for Cardano.
- The Cardano community seeks moderate and productive discussions.
- ADA faces pressure as Cardano reorganizes its ecosystem.
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, is orchestrating a new initiative to move some community discussions to Discord, in an attempt to create a more organized and less conflict-ridden environment than the one currently found on X.
The proposal is being developed in conjunction with Phillip Pon, president of EMURGO, one of the co-founding organizations of Cardano. The idea is to establish a dedicated space for community members to discuss ecosystem-related topics in a more structured way, reducing the impact of public disputes that have gained traction on social media.
Dropping by to let everyone know that I spoke with @phillip_pon and we are working out a plan to create a discord for a great migration of the Cardano community from X. We can have happy, positive, well-moderated channels and leave behind the drama, lies, endless rage, and…

According to Hoskinson, the goal is to offer a moderated environment that fosters productive conversations and the exchange of information among network participants. Although he will continue to use X for live streams and announcements, he stated that participation in question-and-answer sessions will now be concentrated among members of the new Cardano Discord server and the existing Midnight project Discord server.
This initiative comes at a delicate time for blockchain. In recent weeks, Cardano has faced questions about the sustainability of parts of its ecosystem, while ADA's performance remains under pressure in the market.
Investors also followed a series of events that amplified concerns surrounding the network. Among them was the shutdown of TapTools, a well-known project within the Cardano community. Another episode that generated debate was the community's decision not to approve funding for the Cardano Summit 2026.
Pressure on ADA's price intensified following recent statements by Hoskinson. At the time, he announced he would be taking a break from public activities and warned that some segments of the ecosystem might not survive the current challenges.
The comment fueled discussions among network participants and coincided with a period of strong correction in the cryptocurrency market. ADA has accumulated significant losses over the past few weeks, increasing investor attention to the next steps in Cardano's governance and development.
With the creation of a new interaction hub on Discord, Cardano's leadership seeks to reorganize part of the community dialogue while the network goes through a phase of adjustments and internal debates about its future.
