Who is Yoni Assia?
Yoni Assia is the CEO of eToro, the world's largest social investment network with over 5 million users worldwide. He showed interest in finance and computer science since his youth and therefore decided to merge his passions. It was this same passion, along with social revolution, that led to the founding and development of the eToro investment network, where users connect, share, trade and invest in the world's financial markets. This young CEO's vision is to disrupt the old banking sector and replace it with a new online, transparent and social financial system, for the benefit of everyone.
Yoni began his career as co-founder of WiTech Communications, which provided dynamic and exciting video systems for American theme parks such as Six Flags, Universal and other attractions, before co-founding eToro in 2007.
Yoni holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Management from the Open University (United Kingdom) and MSC in Computer Science from IDC Herzliya. He also serves on the board of Bitcoin startup Colu and is a member of the Forbes Financial Council.
