What is Planet IX token (IXT)?
Planet IX is an NFT-based GameFi strategy game. With a virtual copy of our planet as your playing field, your goal is to restore the planet to its former green and blue glory – and you do this by acquiring pieces of land called PIX. On Planet IX, users, Agents of Change (commonly referred to as AoC) as they are called, can buy, collect and trade Planet IX terrestrial assets. Available land comes from a digital version of how the world once was. As the game unfolds and the collective efforts of AoC actions are implemented, the planet will reciprocate.
The story of the Planet IX game will unfold as users complete challenges, both in-game and in the real world. These challenges, when completed, can grant users additional IX Tokens. History of Planet IX
An AI system known as AME (Altered Mind Emotion) is on a journey through time and space. After leaving “home”, year 2089, about 450 years later and several rotations of the nibiru nebula, the system found and detected a habitat. Upon scan examination, the planet's geography, temperature, gravity, and atmosphere were considered prime candidates for resurrecting the Agents she was storing aboard the mothership (3×3)Eye. Game Planet IX
The main objective of the game is to collect and exchange as many PIX's as possible and restore the planet through our PlayToEarn features. When you have traded or collaborated for a larger area of PIX, you can merge them into an NFT Territory, allowing true and exclusive ownership of your PIX collection. PIX are acquired using our own ERC-20 utility token called IX Token (IXT), released on November 20, 2021. The game's story and narrative are adapted to raise awareness of humanity's negative environmental impact on the planet, and also to be incorporated into the game mechanics.
Planet IX gameplay
Think of the Planet IX interface as a commerce-centric map, where user engagement in the marketplace is at the core. Players will individually collect PIX (Planet Image Unit) which are hexagon-shaped plots of land. Depending on where these PIX's are located, they vary in size, quantity, and carry different values and attributes.
Your main objective on Planet IX is, at the beginning, to collect as much PIX as you can. The more PIX a player has, the better the opportunities to develop a Territory. Planet IX NFTs and Marketplace
NFTs are the lifeblood of Planet IX. Some keep pieces of the game's history, while others allow AoCs to build and develop land. All have great value and some even pay variable rewards to their owners. As the story evolves over time, new NFT collections will be introduced to the game.
Territory NFTs
There are infinite strategies to undertake across Planet IX. Each user can develop a custom strategy, and there is no blueprint for which strategy is best until it has been tested. There are also steps in developing the PIX into larger territories, where productivity by betting on them gives users more rewards.
The last Earth version of our Earth is still corrupted. The user's main mission is to help and restore as much as possible. By betting on your territories, rewards will be distributed to the owners of those territories. In addition, additional resources can be applied to the Territories which in turn can increase the value of the land and further increase the productivity rate of restoration. The more the user ventures to Planet IX, the more valuable resources will be found.
Landmark Relic NFTs
In the first scan/render of Planet IX, elements of human culture such as historical monuments, art and other vestiges of human civilization were not prioritized. Therefore, they are not fully restored. However, as the game evolves, the collective effort and co-ownership of users will eventually bring it back to its former glory. On Planet IX, 800 of Earth's most famous landmarks have been corrupted, broken and compromised. The result is breathtaking and unique.
All Landmark Relic NFT owners stake the rewards generated from PIX sales that their “Area of Control” includes. Possession of one of the shares of a certain Landmark, grants monthly rewards. All PIX traded in this area is commissioned to the Landmark property.

Planet IX NFT Marketplace
Marketplace is where you can buy, sell and bid on PIX. Use this feature to purchase connecting PIX to create and build larger coherent territories. Your collected PIX is marked in green and the PIX available for purchase is marked in red.
The perpetual trading fee on the Planet IX market is 5%. This commission goes back to the Landmark NFT Stakeholders or, in the event that no Landmark NFT is connected to a PIX trade, this fee will be split between being sent to the token holder's treasury and burned. All assets are fully tradable NFT markets that operate on Polygon, but none of them will promote the growth of the Planet IX ecosystem.
How to buy PIX on Marketplace?
If you want to buy a PIX first, make sure your trading book is adjusted accordingly. Once that's done, go to the Marketplace menu. Now press Explore to view the purchasable PIX on the map. Zoom in and move to see the PIX available at that specific location. Once you find the PIX or package you want to buy click on it.
You can also find the PIX you are looking for by searching for it in the Marketplace menu. Narrow your search using rarity and location filters. If the PIX or package says “Current Bid”, this is an auction where the player with the highest bid will win the PIX at the end of the auction. To bid on a PIX, press “Bid” and enter an IXT value greater than the current bid. Now press “Place bid” and confirm the offer in your wallet; you bid on PIX. If your bid is the highest when the auction ends, or if the owner accepts your bid, you win and own the PIX.
However, if it says “Buy it now”, this is a fixed price where you can buy the PIX instantly at the set price listed – first come, first serve. To buy PIX for a fixed price, simply press “Buy Now” and confirm the transaction in your web3 wallet. Once the transaction is complete, you will be the new owner of the PIX.
Drop Packs
Aside from trading on the Marketplace, package deliveries are the only way to start and maintain your collection. Every Monday at 12:XNUMX (UTC) the PIX can be purchased in mixed packs, containing a large quantity and variety of different levels and types of PIX in specific drop zones.
Planet IX play to earn
Planet IX is a version of our planet, divided into PIX that can be bought and traded in Planet IX Marketplace. But in order to really be able to progress and develop your features in the game, a number of P2E mechanisms have been released that will reward players the more you get involved and play the game. To separate the in-game economy from the IXT which is the main utility token for PIX, Landmarks and Territories, a secondary, non-deflationary utility token aimed exclusively at P2E called IXE or Electrons was launched.
Withdrawal - Waste Collection
In most games where the task is to develop your character or game resources, you usually have a loot mechanism. For example, in Fortnite your character has no items or belongings when the round starts, but one of the main goals of each player is to collect loot in the form of weapons and equipment. The loot can then be used to achieve the ultimate goal; surviving the round. In other games, loot can manifest in the form of spells, currency, materials, or any kind of equipment that will improve your character, skills, or game progression.
Planet IX's first P2E mechanic will be a loot-based feature. Likewise, it will be linked to its ultimate goal on Planet IX; restoring the planet to its former glory. The first loot will appear in the form of garbage that you need to collect on your quest to clean up the planet. Once collected, you will hand it over to the game's waste management corporation and they will extract the valuable resources from it. In return, they will pay IXE as a reward.
Planet IX's next release: Mission Control
Mission Control will be the hub that will give each AoC an overview of their in-game assets. Through this new vision, players will be able to bet and withdraw assets with ease and perform various functions in the game. The mission is to cultivate waste and through various mechanics of staking, burning and minting to create energy. Energy NFTs can then be staked to IXT in the largest staking pool.
The power staking pool is the largest of all staking pools. For starters, each player will have 6 tiles available on their Quest Control and each tile will serve as a slot for the user to stake their goods. Players can decide to bet PIX, Territories, technology and structures on top of their mission control tokens. On each tile, players can stake a piece of land (PIX or Territory NFT), as well as another technology and structure asset, which includes drones and facilities.
Mission Control will always be evolving to capture the rich and diverse set of assets that the AoC can own and use. It is intended to provide a concise, consolidated way to visualize assets without loss of complexity or in-depth data. Mission Control will be the first step towards the Free-to-play and Play-to-win metaverse, and the staking reward pool for staking assets in Mission Control will be the largest pool in the entire IXT acquisition schedule.
NFT Garbage
Planet IX is covered in garbage, and it's the AoCs' mission to clean the planet of garbage. Waste is collected through staking your assets, and future use of drones and contraptions will maximize your waste collection potential. Players must refine trash through in-game corporations such as Global Waste Systems and Eternalabs in exchange for rewards. This is an important asset in the Planet IX Ecosystem, and players must strategize accordingly.
Betting on Mission Control
Players will start with 6 tiles as mentioned above and as the game progresses Mission Control will expand to up to 36 tiles. Players can bet the following assets:
- PIX and Territories — betting on these assets will generate Waste on tiles. The player can then collect this waste simply by clicking on the block with their staked assets. Residues generate according to a Poisson distribution(12), with an average of 12 residues every 24 hours. No more than three units of waste can accumulate on a tile. Therefore, actors who are active and efficiently managing their waste collection will be at an advantage.
- Technology and Structures — these staked assets will improve yield efficiency on each part. For example, players will be able to bet their Drones on a piece. Staking a drill drone will ensure waste collection and increase the efficiency of your waste yield. Also, betting on a genesis drone will further improve your waste collection. Technology and structures will perform existing functions more efficiently or introduce entirely new mechanics to Planet IX.
Invasion
Players can invade another player's mission control and loot their waste. When a player wants to get involved in an invasion, he can generate a list of other players along with the amount of waste on their land. The player can then decide which player they would like to attack. If the player is not satisfied with the attacking prospects, he can spend Astro Credits to rework the list of potentially better targets to attack. When a player decides to invade another player's mission control, the attack takes place on all pieces owned by the opposing player.
The success of an attack is not certain. The amount of garbage stolen will also be a function of the player's performance in a minigame associated with the invasion mechanic. The invaded player has 6 hours to defend himself trying to defeat his attackers in the same minigame. If the defender scores higher than the attacker, the attack is avoided.

Placing your assets on a tile or raiding another player will not only produce Waste, but there is also a chance to find Bonus Loot. There is a 0,5% chance that the garbage collected will be a Loot Loot, and on top of that, if a player finds a Loot Loot, there is also a 50% chance that it could be a Loot Chest NFT. The NFT Loot Chest can have different amounts of Bonus Loot in it, and when the NFT Loot Chest is burned, a player can find between 2–5 Bonus Loot.
Mission Control: NFT Waste
What is Waste?
Planet IX is covered with the residue left by ancient civilization. In order to restore the planet and make it habitable again, the AoC's mission is to cleanse the planet of harmful waste. Players can clean up the planet without owning any assets, making Planet IX a robust ecosystem of free-to-play and play-to-win games.
How is garbage collected?
Garbage is collected through various functions in the game and will serve as a main resource for this first season of Planet IX. Waste can be collected in the following ways:
- Placing dirt (PIX and Territories) on a block in Mission Control that will continually generate waste for players to collect
- Putting technology on a block in Mission Control. Drones can be sent on a tile to collect waste faster. Be on the lookout for future gadgets and upgrades that will be available through Y_ that will further increase waste collection
- Invading another player's mission control. This is not a guaranteed success, but it can yield great rewards.
What is the Residue for?
Once the garbage is collected, it is up to the player to decide how it should be reused. There are two options:
- Refine Waste on GWS (Global Waste Systems) in exchange for Astro Credits. Waste refining will take time for GWS to process waste
- Filter Waste at EternaLab in exchange for the possibility to discover Bio-M0ds, BluePrints or Easter Eggs. Success is not always guaranteed and it will take time to prospect for waste.
The introduction of waste creates a unique opportunity for players to experiment with different strategies and optimize waste collection. Waste collection is an active function and therefore users will have to check in to Mission Control to collect waste in time or risk stopping waste collection.
Mission Control: Invasion
What is Invasion?
Each player will operate their own Mission Control. This new vision of the game will feature 6 blocks open at the beginning, on which terrains (PIX and Territories), technology and structures can be staked. By betting on in-game assets in Mission Control, players will start generating Waste, which will be a key asset this Planet IX season.
Invade allows the player to loot another player's waste. To start attacking, generate a list of opposing Mission Control players and decide who is the most advantageous prospect to attack. Astro Credits can be spent to rework the list for potentially better targets.
The success of a raid is uncertain, and the amount of waste looted from another player will be a function of the raider's performance in a mini-game associated with the raid. The player being hacked will also have the opportunity to play the same minigame in hopes of warding off intruders. There is a 6 hour window for the invaded player to defend himself by playing the minigame, if he scores higher than the invader, the attack will be avoided.
Raid increases
To maximize waste collection, players will choose the best perspective from the randomly generated list. An inventory system will also be introduced where NFT assets can be placed to increase aid capabilities. For example: receive 10% increase in invasion success or 10% increase in defense. It will be important for each player to strategize to determine how they want to play the game.
Planet IX DAO
Next comes the DAO. In line with the propagation of the ethos of democratic control of decentralized applications, Planet IX also features a decentralized autonomous organization where players will be able to vote on how the game should be run. The DAO is the parent entity that has a significant stake in the many types of in-game NFTs on the platform. Built with smart contracts in blockchain Ethereum, Planet IX DAO will automate guild functions as well as the reward issuance function with plans for advanced DAO resource control for NFT lending services received from the game.
