Webus International, a Chinese company in the automotive and hospitality sectors, has filed a Form 6-K with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), indicating plans to create a corporate treasury focused on XRP worth up to $300 million.
According to the document, the company intends to raise these funds through debt financing or non-equity credit lines, with the aim of building up a reserve in crypto assets. The strategy includes the partnership with asset manager Samara Alpha, responsible for structuring the XRP allocation plan.

The project goes beyond investment. Webus also announced the integration of Ripple’s blockchain-based payments network into its operations, aiming to speed up international settlements and increase transparency in the financial flows of its executive transportation and hospitality services.
With this, Webus joins other companies that have shown institutional interest in the Ripple ecosystem. The XRP token currently ranks among the five largest crypto assets by market value, reinforcing its appeal among companies seeking to optimize liquidity and efficiency in international payments.
In May, Nasdaq-listed energy company VivoPower revealed plans to form a $121 million corporate treasury in XRP. According to the announcement, the initiative has the support of institutional investors, including members of the Saudi royal family.
The trend has also reached the healthcare sector. Florida-based pharmaceutical distributor Wellgistics has secured a $50 million credit line to adopt XRP payments and potentially establish a digital reserve in the same asset.
These moves highlight the growing adoption of XRP as a strategic tool in corporate treasuries, especially for companies that operate internationally and aim to reduce transaction costs by using blockchain infrastructure. Ripple, responsible for the technology behind XRP, continues to gain ground among institutions that prioritize speed and efficiency in their global financial transactions.
