In a partnership ceremony at the LEAP 2023 conference in Saudi Arabia, Sandbox entered into an MOU with the government of Saudi Arabia for the future development of the metaverse.
Initiatives for the development of metaverse continue to be a significant focus and a major interest in the Middle East region, as the LEAP conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia highlights key industry topics.
On February 7, a partnership ceremony was held at the conference, which recognized a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Sandbox and the government of Saudi Arabia.
according to posts of Sebastien Borget, co-founder and COO of Sandbox, the MOU is with the Saudi Arabian Government Digital Authority (DGA) with the aim of “exploring, advising and supporting” each other in the development of the metaverse.
While there are no further updates on the extent of the partnership, both parties have actively expanded the boundaries of the Web3 space in in relation to their areas of specialization.
Sandbox has partnered with some of the biggest names in and out of the Web3 space, including Snoop Dogg, Gucci, TIME, Atari, HSBC and Warner Music Group, among others.
