Studio369, a renowned game developer, has revealed ambitious plans for its action game, MetalCore.

Studio369 leaders, CEO Matt Candler and CTO Dan Nikolaides, shared in an interview that a recent injection of $5 million in funding will allow the game to come to life on the Immutable zkEVM network, a promising scaling platform for Ethereum. This round of financing had the support of industry giants, including Bitkraft Ventures, Delphi Digital, among others, following a previous round that raised US$15 million in 2022.
The Studio369 team has been working tirelessly, adapting to market changes and delays, to ensure that MetalCore not only meets but also exceeds gamers' expectations. A significant turning point came with the postponement of the launch of the Immutable zkEVM mainnet, which led the team to rethink strategies and temporarily downsize its team.
This delay, however, may have been a blessing in disguise. With the crypto market recovering from a challenging period, demand for fungible tokens has surpassed that for unique NFTs, reflecting a shift in consumer preferences. Additionally, the team took advantage of this additional time to develop “D-Gen”, an AI-powered dynamic mission generator, which promises to revolutionize the gaming experience by offering unique and always new missions.
