A Strategy, a company led by Michael Saylor, announced the sale of 3.588 bitcoins (BTC) for approximately US$ 216 million. According to the executive, the funds will be used to finance dividend payments for the company’s digital credit securities (Digital Credit securities).

The announcement was made by Saylor himself on his social networks on July 5, 2026. According to the post, after the transaction the company keeps ₿843.775 in its bitcoin reserves, as well as US$ 2,55 billion in dollar-denominated reserves.

The move draws attention because it represents a change in Strategy’s stance, historically known for its continuous bitcoin accumulation strategy. This time, part of the reserves was converted into cash to meet financial obligations related to its credit instruments.
