This past Wednesday, the eyes of the financial market were focused on the announcement by the Federal Reserve, the US central bank, which decided to keep interest rates stable. The decision was taken after a policy meeting that resulted in rates remaining at the highest range seen in the last 22 years.

As the cryptocurrency world watched closely, North American stocks saw an uptrend. The S&P 500, an index that represents the 500 largest companies listed on US stock exchanges, registered an increase of 0,4%. On the other hand, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which is one of the main indicators of the performance of shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), grew 0,2%. Not to be left behind, the Nasdaq, recognized for its strong presence of technology companies, experienced a jump of approximately 0,7%.

The decision of the Fed of keeping rates in a range between 5,25% and 5,50% reflects the central bank's attention to monitoring the impact of its actions on the North American economy. This announcement was closely followed, mainly due to market movements in August.

This amount is in line with Wall Street analysts' projections.

At the time of publication, the BTC price it was quoted at US$ 34.511,51, up 0,3% in the last 24 hours.
