Ripple has secured full authorization as a Crypto-Asset Services Provider (CASP) granted by the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF). With the approval, the company responsible for the XRP ecosystem will now be able to offer its cryptocurrency payments platform in a regulated manner across all countries of the European Economic Area (EEA).

The license represents an important step for the company’s strategy in Europe, as it allows operations under a single regulatory framework. In this way, Ripple will be able to make its services available to financial institutions, businesses, and large corporations in 30 markets of the economic bloc, simplifying operations and reducing regulatory barriers.

The final authorization comes after the preliminary approval announced in June. According to the company, the process was completed in full compliance with the rules established by the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, legislation created by the European Union to standardize the supervision of companies that offer services related to cryptocurrencies.

With alignment to MiCA standards, Ripple expands its ability to provide end-to-end payment solutions using digital assets, serving corporate clients seeking infrastructure that complies with the regulatory requirements of the European market.

Cassie Craddock, Ripple’s general manager for Europe and the United Kingdom, highlighted the impact of the authorization on the company’s next steps in the region. According to her, institutional interest in regulated solutions continues to grow as the sector matures.

“This CASP authorization means that Ripple is entering the post-transition era of MiCA fully compliant and ready to scale. The institutions we work with across Europe are looking to build their digital asset services alongside regulated partners, and Ripple is licensed and ready to meet that demand,” she concluded.

In addition to expanding its presence in the European market, the company said it now joins a restricted group of companies in the sector that have already obtained full authorization within MiCA rules. The outcome also expands its track record of regulatory approvals around the world.

With the new license issued by the CSSF of Luxembourg, Ripple’s regulatory portfolio surpasses the mark of 75 authorizations, reinforcing its international expansion strategy based on regulatory compliance and the offering of cryptocurrency payment solutions for institutional clients.
