Ripple announced the launch of Ripple Mint, a platform developed to facilitate the issuance, redemption, and management of RLUSD, its dollar-pegged stablecoin. The initiative expands institutional access to the asset and seeks to meet the growing demand for digital dollars in payments, trading, and treasury operations.
With the new solution, companies and financial institutions will manage RLUSD through a dedicated interface or programmatic integrations. The proposal is to simplify adoption of the stablecoin and allow it to be incorporated more easily into organizations' internal systems.
Ripple Mint expands institutional access to RLUSD
Ripple Mint allows institutions to issue and redeem RLUSD directly with the issuer, connect the stablecoin to compatible blockchains, and track all stages of transactions in real time.
In addition, the platform makes it possible to integrate RLUSD operations into companies' internal workflows, reducing operational steps and making management more efficient for finance and technology teams.
Customers already using the stablecoin will not need to change their current operations. The difference is that they will now be able to choose between manual or fully automated processes, according to their needs.
For this, Ripple made new APIs and webhook notifications available. These resources make it possible to automate issuance and redemption processes, check transaction status, access balances programmatically, and receive real-time updates on fiat currency deposits, on-chain settlements, and completed payments.
Ripple invests in Notabene to expand stablecoin payments
Along with the launch of Ripple Mint, the company announced a strategic investment in Notabene, a company specialized in infrastructure for regulated on-chain transactions.
As part of the partnership, RLUSD will be integrated into Notabene Flow, a stablecoin-based B2B payments platform. The companies also intend to develop payment authorization solutions that complement the services offered by Ripple Payments.
Notabene states that its network connects more than 2.300 institutions across more than 100 jurisdictions. Currently, the platform serves more than 280 clients and handles an annualized volume exceeding US$ 2 trilhões in transactions.
RLUSD expands presence in the global market
The expansion of RLUSD has continued to accelerate since the launch of the stablecoin. Currently, the asset has a market capitalization of approximately US$ 1,6 billion, consolidating its position among the leading stablecoins in the market.
In recent months, Ripple has entered into a partnership with SBI Holdings to distribute RLUSD in Japan through SBI VC Trade. The company also joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore's BLOOM initiative to test programmable settlements using the XRP Ledger.
Next, the stablecoin was listed on OKX, increasing its liquidity and availability for users in different markets. More recently, RLUSD became part of Mastercard's expanded stablecoin settlement program, expanding its use in corporate payments and strengthening its international expansion strategy.
