Pharrell Williams, artist and music producer has joined Doodles as its chief brand ambassador and board member, announced the NFT project on Wednesday at an event held alongside the NFT NYC conference. Williams will also serve as executive producer on a Doodles-themed music album, dubbed "Doodles Record: Volume 1", to be released by Columbia Records.

“I am here to announce that I will be joining Doodles as a board member and brand director,” Williams said in a pre-recorded video message at the event.
“When the Doodles team presented their vision for the business, I was immediately all-in,” he said.

Doodles is a collection of 10.000 generative NFTs featuring various colorful line-drawn characters, including cats, aliens, monkeys, and skeletons. Launched in October 2021, the project quickly became one of the most valuable collections in the NFT profile photo niche, reaching “blue chip” status within months. The project is co-founded and led by Evan Keast and Jordan Castro, who in 2017 helped launch the first game based on blockchain, CryptoKitties, along with Scott Martin, known under his pseudonym Burnt Toast, who is the project's main visual artist.

NFT Doodles also announced that it had raised an undisclosed amount in its first round of funding led by renowned venture capital firm Seven Seven Six. The minimum price for the Doodles collection is up about 9,8% in today's news, going from 12,95 ETH to 15,75 ETH before cooling down a bit.
