The Axie Infinity token (AXS) recorded a major rally reaching a peak of 20% on May 17 following the news that the NFT Axie Infinity Origins will allow access to Apple users in South America and Asia with your App Store listing.
At the time of publication, the price of Axie Infinity was quoted at $7,39, up 8.9% over the last 24 hours.
“Origins passed Apple's review and is now available on the App Store! We believe this is the first time Apple has agreed to make an externally acquired NFT usable on the App Store,” the token team wrote on Twitter.

In December 2022, the team released a resource-limited Origins on Google PlayStore from Malaysia. “This gave our team a chance to optimize the gameplay before expanding into other markets. Today, we adopt a similar strategy with the App Store in countries in Latin America and Asia”, highlighted the team.
According to the release, in the initial version of Origins for iOS, players have a choice: use their own non-fungible token (NFT) axes or upgradeable initial axes to play. Both will work in Adventure and Arena modes. However, there will be some restrictions to comply with current App Store policies.
“Moonshard crafting recipes will be available in-app, while SLP crafting recipes will require the use of desktop/Android APK versions. Players will continue to earn SLP through gameplay, but will not be able to claim these in-app rewards.”
