Moonwell (WELL) is a non-custodial DeFi lending and borrowing protocol focused on offering a simpler, faster, and safer experience. The project's architecture uses previously tested code from the Moonwell Apollo protocol, restructured in the Artemis version to maintain the same level of protection with performance improvements.

How Moonwell works

On Moonwell, users can perform lending and borrowing without relying on centralized custody, using the protocol's own smart contracts. Artemis was designed to deliver more refined features and faster transaction times, while preserving the security already associated with Apollo.

Purpose and focus on security

Moonwell's goal is to be a more user-friendly protocol within the ecosystem, without giving up high security standards. To achieve this, the project uses a multi-signature system in the smart contracts used by the protocol.

Before deployment, the contracts undergo an audit by Halborn Security's cybersecurity team. In addition, there is a rewards program supported by ImmuneFi, allowing researchers to submit findings and receive bounties when identifying vulnerabilities.
