Verse (VERSE) is a reward and utility token associated with the Bitcoin.com ecosystem, created to encourage the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the self-custody model. The project combines incentives and gamification to support the entry of new users into the crypto world. It operates within an environment focused on in-app experiences and interactions with web3.

What the VERSE token is used for

VERSE can be obtained by using products in the Bitcoin.com ecosystem and can also be held for access to discounts and benefits. In addition, the token is used in applications and dApps available within this set of services.

In 2023, fxVERSE was deployed on Polygon, contributing to the creation of a micro-rewards system within the ecosystem.

How the Verse ecosystem works

At the center is the multichain Bitcoin.com Wallet app, which includes a web3-enabled browser called Verse Explorer. Through it, users access dApps and web3 features focused on interaction and learning.

Within the Verse Explorer environment, there is the Verse DEX, as well as an NFT collection called Verse Voyager with a minting dApp and other applications aimed at guiding the safe use of web3 products.

Supply reduction and burn mechanisms

VERSE buyback happens when Bitcoin.com buys the token on the market through means such as Verse DEX, third-party DEXs, centralized exchanges, or OTC operations. After that, the purchased VERSE is sent to the Verse Burn Engine.

Accumulation in the Burn Engine occurs until a burn is triggered, with the possibility of anyone triggering the event. The allocation to this engine comes from the Ecosystem Fund in proportion to ecosystem activity, with the aim of sustaining the reduction throughout the life of the token.
