VNX Swiss Franc (VCHF) is a token that references the Swiss Franc, representing a traditional asset in digital format. VCHF is generated by a token generator licensed under the Blockchain Act in Liechtenstein.

How the reference to the Swiss Franc works

By being backed by a reference to the traditional currency, VNX Swiss Franc seeks to offer users a way to maintain exposure to CHF within the crypto ecosystem. The token generation and related services are carried out by VNX Commodities, a company registered with the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority (FMA) under the law on Tokens and TT Services Providers (TVTG).

What VNX Swiss Franc (VCHF) is used for

VCHF can be used as a hedge, allowing holders to keep the token to reduce losses during declines in the crypto market. It also serves for trading, enabling buying and selling on CEXs and DEXs.

On the investment opportunities side, the base text indicates possibilities such as lending, liquidity provision, and staking, in CeFi/DeFi formats, according to the mechanisms available on the platforms that support the asset.

Project history and next steps

VNX, headquartered in Liechtenstein and registered with the FMA, launched a European platform in April 2022 for investment in tokenized traditional assets. In December 2022, it added VNX Euro (VEUR) and VNX Swiss Franc (VCHF), expanding access to tokens that reference fiat currencies.

Going forward, the goal is to increase the availability of VNX Swiss Franc on more exchanges and expand the token's presence across different blockchains, with a multichain proposal.
