Resolv USR (USR) is a stablecoin designed to maintain a peg to its reference value, with backing natively linked to Ether (ETH). The issuance of USR uses liquid assets deposited on a 1:1 basis, and the protocol includes mechanisms to support the peg.

How the USR peg works

Resolv maintains USR as an overcollateralized stablecoin, using a collateral pool and hedging strategies on that backing. In addition, it operates a tokenized insurance fund called RLP, which helps with system stability.

Issuance and redemption of USR

USR is minted by depositing liquid assets such as USDC or USDT in an equivalent 1:1 value. Upon redemption, the user receives a 1:1 return equivalent to the notional amount delivered to the protocol.

Staking and yield-bearing version

Those who use USR can stake it to obtain the yield-bearing version, called stUSR. This structure maintains the link with USR while directing the token’s role toward yield generation within the protocol.

Purpose and practical use

As a stablecoin, USR is aimed at those seeking exposure tied to a reference value using ETH collateral and a tokenized insurance system.
