Spacecoin (SPACE) is a decentralized satellite-based internet network, created to offer reliable and permissionless global connectivity. The project seeks to reduce dependence on traditional infrastructure, such as cell towers and fiber optic cables.

Technology and low Earth orbit network

Spacecoin is developing a constellation of small satellites with blockchain capabilities in low Earth orbit. These satellites transmit data back to the planet to support access to connectivity services.

According to the proposal, the network operates as an open system, allowing third parties to add satellites to the ecosystem.

Connectivity purpose

Spacecoin’s goal is to support people who have not yet accessed the internet as well as communities with limited access. The initiative intends to act as an alternative to expand connection availability in different regions.

The plan includes making services available in target countries such as Nigeria, Indonesia, and India.

Operation, planned costs, and expansion

Spacecoin indicates that it intends to offer its services in these target countries for 1 to 2 dollars per month per user, according to the project proposal. The delivery of these services will depend on the progress of the constellation and the operation of the satellites.

The first satellite was launched in December 2024, with three more satellites planned for October 2025.

Presence in the crypto ecosystem

With a focus on infrastructure and DePIN, Spacecoin is connected to the debate on decentralized data networks. The SPACE token is part of this communication and infrastructure narrative in the crypto environment, including participation in ecosystems such as BNB Chain and Ethereum.
