Redbelly Network is a blockchain focused on Real World Assets (RWA) applications with an emphasis on compliance. Developed at the University of Sydney in collaboration with CSIRO, Australia's national science agency, the network was described as the first formally verified blockchain. How Redbelly Network handles tokenized assets

Redbelly Network allows issuers of RWA assets to tokenize and trade compliant on-chain structured products. The proposal includes the creation of digital registries to serve as a reference source for asset classes on the network.

With this, issuers can structure new financial products based on tokenized assets, supporting the development of solutions based on compliance rules.

Identity, privacy, and compliance with ZK

At the transaction level, Redbelly Network integrates full identity and accountability. To protect personal data, it uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) and verifiable credentials.

The model seeks to enable licensing and jurisdictional compliance without relying on repetitive KYC, automating the application of rules according to asset class and jurisdiction.

On-chain structure and rules enforcement

Instead of offline records and paper-based checks, the network aims to reduce the need for manual checks by applying rules in an automated way. The single and verifiable account tends to facilitate consistent operation for different asset classes.

Redbelly Network also works with issuers that have network effects and established assets, with the goal of promoting cleaner liquidity by default.
