Prom (PROM) is a modular Layer 2 based on ZkEVM. Its goal is to facilitate interoperability between different chains, including EVM-compatible networks as well as compatible non-EVM networks. With this, Prom connects ecosystems by enabling the exchange of information and proofs between distinct environments.

How Prom works

On Prom, transactions are processed within the Layer 2 network and then the transaction proof is sent to additional chains. This transmission takes place “on top of” the chosen Settlement chain, maintaining the validation structure among participants.

This proof flow helps build a bridge between ecosystems, allowing different networks to operate in a coordinated way instead of remaining isolated.

What Prom is used for

Prom was designed to enable interactions between various chains, expanding the communication capacity between networks. In practice, this supports the movement of functionalities and states between compatible and non-EVM compatible ecosystems.

By focusing on interoperability, Prom serves scenarios in which applications require broader integration beyond a single blockchain.

Technology and network

As a modular ZkEVM, Prom uses transaction proofs to support processing and validation on the additional layer. The modular architecture allows the system to be organized around the Settlement chain and communication with additional chains.

Prom in the crypto ecosystem

Because it is associated with the idea of connection between networks, Prom positions itself as an option within the Layer 2 universe. It relates both to the Ethereum ecosystem and to the BNB Chain ecosystem by seeking to interoperate with multiple chains, according to the supported compatibility.
