OpenGradient (OPG) is a decentralized infrastructure focused on Open Intelligence, capable of hosting, running inference, and verifying AI models at scale. Instead of acting as a traditional blockchain, the network functions as a specialized coprocessor for computationally intensive AI tasks.

How the coprocessor model works

OpenGradient allows applications, blockchains, and autonomous agents to outsource AI processing to a mesh of nodes with GPUs and a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This way, layers that use AI do not need to handle the full computational load directly.

Before any result is considered in the on-chain record, the network validates the proofs generated during processing, ensuring a more verifiable flow.

Execution verification in consensus

Validators check the computational proofs at each step, considering TEE attestations or proofs in zkML. This validation occurs at the consensus level, before the content is committed on-chain.

As a result, the use of AI can be carried out in a verifiable way, reducing dependence on trust between networks and applications.

By centralizing model hosting, inference, and verification, OpenGradient helps make AI usable across different ecosystems. The goal is to offer AI capacity that can be consumed by any network or application, without needing to integrate the entire infrastructure locally.
