Nest (NEST) is a Solana-native protocol focused on stablecoins, connecting stock tokenization to DeFi use cases. The proposal transforms tokenized securities into stable dollars through backing with equity collateral and USDC reserves.

How Nest works

The process begins with the deposit of approved tokenized stocks via xStocks for the minting of nUSD, a stablecoin pegged to US$ 1. nUSD is backed by equity collateral and USDC reserves, with on-chain verification.

By staking nUSD, the user can receive snUSD with variable protocol revenue, associated with fees paid by borrowers and reserve yield. The Peg Stability Module (PSM) helps maintain the 1:1 parity with USDC redemptions when reserves are available.

What Nest is used for

Nest seeks to bring elements of the traditional stock market into the crypto environment, creating a stable and tradable layer for those interacting with DeFi. With nUSD, the goal is to enable liquidity with stability and on-chain transparency.

In practice, the conversion between tokenized assets and a stablecoin allows stocks to become a more broadly usable asset within the ecosystem.

Technology and infrastructure

Built on Solana, Nest uses Pyth for oracle pricing and relies on Kamino’s infrastructure. These components support the protocol’s operation and the value dynamics of the stablecoin system.
