Midas msyrupUSDp (MSYRUPUSDP) is a pre-deposit vault aimed at those who want to participate before the Plasma network goes live. It offers early access to Maple’s syrupUSDT strategy, with a structure designed to reflect benchmark returns generated when syrupUSDT is used as collateral in institutional credit markets within Plasma.

How early participation works

The vault was designed to mirror results associated with the use of syrupUSDT as collateral in Plasma’s credit markets. This allows participants to position themselves before the mainnet launch, while remaining aligned with the strategy’s expected behavior.

With this, Midas msyrupUSDp seeks to enable early entry and prepare users to take advantage of composability in the Plasma ecosystem when the network is active.

Rewards and incentive distribution

Midas msyrupUSDp incentives are distributed via Merkl. Part of the rewards is related to the distribution of XPL after the TGE, while other rewards are released in the form of Syrup tokens at the end of each Drips Season.

This rewards architecture follows the phases of the strategy and transitions to Syrup tokens when the realizations of each Drips Season occur.

Purpose in the ecosystem and use of syrupUSDT

By connecting MSYRUPUSDP to the syrupUSDT strategy, the vault contributes to the use of syrupUSDT as stablecoin collateral within Plasma. This reinforces the role of yield-bearing tokens in the Ethereum Ecosystem and fits within the Yield-Bearing Tokens proposal.
