MetaMUI (MMUI) is being developed as a native identity blockchain, aimed at transforming how digital assets, payments, and AI commerce work. Instead of relying on cryptographic addresses, the system operates with Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), which represent permanent digital identities for people, organizations, and AI agents.

How MetaMUI works with DIDs

At MetaMUI, operations become linked to verifiable identities via DIDs, which changes the traditional logic based on keys and addresses. This approach reduces problems associated with key loss, since the user is not bound to the risk of “losing” access due to factors such as misplaced keys.

Security benefits and cryptographic evolution

MetaMUI’s architecture has been described as a way to enable future updates, including migration to cryptography resistant to quantum attacks, without interrupting the system’s operation. As a result, the platform seeks to maintain operational continuity while security technology evolves.

Use in payments and regulated AI commerce

MetaMUI is also intended to allow AI agents to participate in commerce activities with verified identities, supporting regulated contexts. The goal is to offer a foundation of trust for negotiations with “cryptographic certainty,” integrating the autonomy of AI systems alongside humans.

Presence in the ecosystem and payments technology

The project is already described as supporting sovereign digital currencies for Indigenous nations, reinforcing its focus on identities and trust structures. In addition, it was selected by the Bank for International Settlements to develop next-generation payments technology, aligned with the theme of trust infrastructure.
