Liquity (LQTY) is a decentralized lending protocol that allows borrowing using Ether as collateral. The system uses LQTY to capture fee revenue generated by the Liquity Protocol through staking.

How Liquity works

On Liquity, it is possible to request loans with 0% interest against Ether deposited as collateral. The loans are paid in LUSD and require maintaining a minimum collateral ratio of 110%.

Protocol security

In addition to collateral, the loans rely on a Stability Pool that pools LUSD. Participants also act as guarantors of last resort, helping to support the system’s operation.

LQTY token and staking

LQTY was designed to represent the capture of fee revenue from the Liquity Protocol, distributed via staking. In this way, the demand and utility value of the token are connected to fee generation within the protocol.

Liquity characteristics

The Liquity protocol is non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free. As a DeFi system, it integrates with the Ethereum ecosystem and is also related to the Arbitrum Ecosystem.
