HairDAO (HAIR) is a DeSci community BioDAO focused on funding early-stage research on hair loss. The proposal is to accelerate the development of new treatments by increasing the availability of resources in the earliest phases of R&D. In this way, the project seeks to support the generation of knowledge that can reach the market.

How HairDAO applies research

HairDAO uses the logic of a BioDAO to enable studies related to hair loss, with the goal of turning results into intellectual property assets. One example mentioned in the project's history was the minting of the first IP-NFT linked to a study testing the impact of thyroid hormones T3 and T4 on human scalp skin cultures.

Since then, the project describes the existence of a sequence of studies that it intends to fund and carry out, following the same approach of minting the results as IP-NFTs.

What the HAIR token is used for

At the moment, HAIR is used as a governance token. The described structure establishes that 1 HAIR equals 1 vote, allowing participants to influence project decisions.

The project also indicates that other functionalities may be added in the future, but it does not detail additional utilities at present.

What makes the proposal different

HairDAO highlights its approach of using crypto to support real-world innovation through the creation of IP related to hair loss. Within the Ethereum ecosystem and the Base network, the project positions itself as a channel to fund and organize research focused on intellectual property.
