About

What is Flux (FLUX)?

Everything you need to know about Flux: origin, how it works, supply and official resources.

Flux (FLUX) is the cryptocurrency that underpins the Flux ecosystem. It is used to purchase resources, provide collateral support for nodes, and also to enable transactions on FluxOS. In addition, FLUX rewards miners and FluxNode operators for providing computational capacity.

What Flux (FLUX) is used for

In the Flux ecosystem, FLUX circulates as part of the network's operation. The resources involved can be acquired, while nodes use the asset as collateral and the network uses the token to power transactions on FluxOS. This design connects computational demand to the incentive to keep the infrastructure running.

The project also seeks to reward miners and FluxNode operators, creating an incentive mechanism linked to the use of computing power within the platform.

How the network and ecosystem work

The ecosystem includes a native and mineable cryptocurrency based on Proof of Work, as well as a decentralized computing network called FluxNodes. The infrastructure includes FluxOS, a Linux-based operating system, which integrates the operation of the ecosystem.

On the blockchain side, Flux combines on-chain governance and features aimed at the economy and parallel assets, with a focus on interoperability with other blockchains and access to DeFi.

Computing infrastructure and products

Currently, Flux's computing network operates with approximately 11.500 decentralized nodes distributed globally, with more than 96.000 CPU cores, 230 terabytes of RAM, and more than 6,1 petabytes of storage. This makes FluxCloud one of the largest decentralized networks in computational capacity.

Among the ecosystem's products are FluxAI, FluxCloud, FluxEdge, Zelcore Wallet, the SSP multisig wallet, and FusionX, described as a swap aggregator.
