Dot (DOT) is an Artificial Intelligence ecosystem focused on privacy. The proposal is to offer access to AI tools without depending on the surveillance model associated with traditional assistants.

How Dot handles privacy

In many AI assistants, conversations may be recorded and associated with the user's identity to train, profile, and direct interactions. Dot was built with the opposite idea: to reduce information collection while the user can ask questions to the ecosystem.

With this approach, the ecosystem seeks to keep data under the user's control, preventing third parties from positioning themselves between the person and the AI.

Open models and the possibility of auditing

Dot uses open-source models with open weights. This allows them to be self-hosted and inspected, favoring transparency in how they operate.

In practice, the architecture allows greater visibility into how the models operate, without depending exclusively on intermediaries for use.

Products and uses of the ecosystem

Among the ecosystem's tools are dotchat, aimed at a private conversational AI experience. There is also dotcode, described as a private coding assistant.

Other solutions are planned to follow the same privacy principle, with an emphasis on keeping the user's data in their possession.
