Solana-based meme coin Bonk has officially launched its first licensed game, Bonk Arena, developed by Bravo Ready. The top-down arcade-style game is now available to play directly via browser or via the Phantom wallet app, with a future release also planned for the PSG1 handheld console.

The Bonk Arena proposal features an economic mechanic based on cryptocurrencies. Each match requires the payment of 10.000 BONK — around US$ 0,17 at the current exchange rate — for the player to appear on the map. By eliminating other players, the user inherits the opponents' bet, deducting a fee that can vary from 0% to 10%. The model, called “pay to appear, win to win”, aims to boost the use of the BONK token within a competitive ecosystem.
Bravo Ready CEO Evan Ryer highlighted that all player spawns and eliminations are recorded on-chain, generating real transaction volume with the BONK token. In addition, 50% of the game’s revenue will be used for token burns, as well as rewards and donations to the Bonk for Paws initiative. The other half will be used to buy back the READY token, which will be launched in November 2024.
During the launch period, the Bonk team has allocated $10.000 in BONK tokens to be distributed as additional in-game rewards. A portion of these funds will be used to reward content creators who promote Bonk Arena on social media.
The game will be exclusive to Phantom wallet users, with direct integration into the mobile app. Future updates promise to include unlockable characters, loot boxes, and a progression rewards system, continuing the proposal to increase the utility of the BONK token in the Solana ecosystem.
Since its inception following the collapse of FTX, Bonk has been expanding its reach with tools such as the BONKbot on Telegram, the BONK Swap exchange, and the Bonk.fun launchpad. Bonk Arena represents another step in the project’s effort to integrate real utility into its community and establish itself as a reference among meme coins tied to the Solana network.
