Kevin O'Leary, TV personality, commented that he believes non-fungible tokens (NFT) could emerge as a “much larger and more fluid market” than bitcoin. O'Leary's vision comes as a surprise, as last year, the Canadian businessman claimed that nothing would ever have a chance to replace the token.

Also known as Mr Wonerful, Kevin O'Leary is a rising figure who has demonstrated a lot of contradiction about the cryptocurrency industry over the years. His first take on the world of cryptography came in 2019, when he described bitcoin as "useless". In addition, he also called it “junk that you can't get in and out of in large quantities”.

However, nothe beginning of 2021, he backtracked, saying he respects bitcoin, and a few months later announced his entry into the BTC ecosystem, turning the token into 3% of your income.

Now, during a interview On CNBC, O'Leary, who is also one of the hosts of the reality show Shark Tank, spoke about non-fungible tokens and their potential for growth in the coming years. Similar to 2021, NFTs will continue to be very popular and could even become a bigger market than bitcoin, the Canadian said.

And this opinion was based onthe idea that NFTs can test the properties of real-world items like cars or watches in the metaverse, for example.

You will see a lot of movement in terms of authentication, insurance policies and online property transfer taxes in the coming years, making NFTs a much larger and potentially more fluid market than just bitcoin alone,” commented Kevin O'Leary.

Finally, he said that he is "investing in both sides of this equation." A few months ago, the Shark Tank presenter had a slightly different stance on the subject, when he claimedu that bitcoin is the right long-term investment tool, including comparing it to other digital assets such as Ethereum, commenting that this would be the gold standard of digital currency and that nothing else would replace it.
