Blockchain Creative Labs (BCL) and Fox Entertainment announced the launch of maskverse.com, a non-fungible token marketplace and community dedicated to the entertainment series and singing competition in "The Masked Singer."
Fox, Blockchain Creative Labs, Eluvio Present The Masked Singer NFT Marketplace
In mid-May, Fox Broadcasting Company, the American commercial broadcast television network, announced that it was launching a non-fungible token (NFT) business called Blockchain Creative Labs. In June, Fox detailed that it had teamed up with Bento Box Entertainment (BBE) and started a $100 million fund with the goal of empowering NFT content creators.
Now, the broadcast and entertainment company is unveiling an NFT ecosystem dedicated to the popular singing competition show “The Masked Singer”. Fox and BCL have launched maskverse.com, which allows "The Masked Singer" (TMS) fans to "build their own collection of limited-edition digital masks for each character across all six seasons of the series to unlock exclusive surprises and goodies."
'Miss Masky' and 'Mask Packs'
The maskverse.com NFT was launched on October 13th and there will be several stages. The first part will see fans receiving a free NFT from “Miss Masky” while creating a digital media portfolio through Eluvio.
The ad further details that, throughout the season, visitors to maskverse.com will be able to obtain “Mask Packs” that include TMS character cards and “will open up a market for fans to buy and sell cards to complete their sets, as well as other premium and exclusive digital merchandise.”
