ConsenSys, a Blockchain development company, is scheduled for March 28 to start a public test of zkEVM, which is compatible with Ethereum.

In your release, ConsenSys highlighted that over the past four years, its protocol teams have helped shape and deliver upgrades to Layer 1 Ethereum, and during that time, ConsenSys R&D has designed the Layer 2 infrastructure to unlock trustless execution at scale .

“In March 2023, we will take an important next step: providing permissionless access to our EVM-equivalent zkEVM package. After releasing the specification for our zkEVM at DevCon last fall, we released a private testnet that allowed Solidity developers to build, test, and launch dapps on an EVM-equivalent network with the skills they have and the tools they already know.

Our goal was to not only test our zkEVM at scale, but to create a seamless developer experience. With native integrations with other ConsenSys products such as Dappradar and Truffle, we wanted to allow builders to focus solely on innovation,” he pointed out.

According to the company, the response from the first users and partners was extremely positive. “We were encouraged by the demand and performance of the network during the private beta and believe that opening it up for wider testing will spur new innovation. Starting March 28, any dapp developer or protocol will be able to join the network, test smart contracts and build decentralized apps.”
