The CLARITY Act gained new political momentum in the United States after receiving support from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). The entity's position adds a relevant element to the debate over cryptocurrency regulation, precisely at a time when the Senate is working to finalize the proposal before the August congressional recess.

The support from the police organization draws attention because it broadens the project's support base beyond the cryptocurrency industry. Supporters of the proposal say the endorsement shows that the oversight, compliance, and anti-financial crime mechanisms provided for in the text also address the concerns of the authorities responsible for law enforcement.

Among the most debated points is the so-called "Section 604", which deals with measures aimed at tackling illicit financing involving cryptocurrencies. This section has been the target of intense negotiations, as it seeks to balance market development with monitoring and regulatory compliance requirements.

The moment is considered strategic for supporters of the legislation. As the voting deadline approaches, backing from an entity linked to law enforcement helps reduce criticism that the project would offer excessively flexible rules for illegal activities involving cryptocurrencies.

At the same time, statements from SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce increased expectations surrounding the process. According to her, there is an expectation that the CLARITY Act will be considered by the full Senate before the start of the summer congressional recess. The statement is seen as a positive sign, since the SEC is among the agencies that will be most affected by the regulatory changes provided for in the bill.

Despite the progress, approval still depends on final negotiations in the Senate. Adjustments to the wording of provisions related to oversight continue to be discussed and may influence the support needed for final approval.

If the proposal is approved, the American cryptocurrency market may have a clearer regulatory framework. Analysts assess that more defined rules tend to favor the operation of exchanges, increase liquidity, and offer greater legal certainty for large-cap tokens that, to this day, operate in poorly defined regulatory areas.

As the legislative calendar moves forward, support from NOBLE and the SEC's statements increase the perception that the CLARITY Act has ceased to be merely a proposal under discussion and has begun to gather more concrete conditions to move toward approval in the United States Congress.
