The cryptocurrency market started the week with movements reminiscent of previous days, with Bitcoin once again facing pressure right at the opening of traditional markets. The leading cryptocurrency fell by more than US$ 1.000 in the first hours of the day, returning to the US$ 63.700 range before attempting a slight recovery.
In recent days, BTC had been trying to stay above US$ 64 thousand after a sequence of fluctuations. Last week, the asset fell below US$ 62 thousand, but found support after the release of weaker-than-expected United States inflation data. This movement allowed a recovery to approximately US$ 65.600, the highest level in about three weeks.
Despite this, the buying strength did not hold for long. The price fell back to the US$ 62.500 region on Friday, before a new upward attempt over the weekend. On Saturday, Bitcoin traded again near US$ 64 thousand and reached US$ 65 thousand on Monday morning, but once again lost strength.
Currently, the asset continues to trade slightly below US$ 64 thousand, with its market capitalization still below US$ 1,29 trillion. Its dominance over the other cryptocurrencies remains stable at around 57%.
Among the day's positive highlights, the Pi Network token posted an expressive double-digit gain, once again reaching the US$ 0,10 level, a region that now acts as resistance. The asset maintains part of the gains and is trying to consolidate above this range.
Another relevant movement was observed in PUMP, which advanced more than 20% in the last 24 hours, trading near US$ 0,002. In contrast, HASH posted a decline of more than 9% in the same period.
Among the largest-cap cryptocurrencies, ZEC had the worst performance, with a decline of about 6,5%, trading below US$ 530. Other assets such as BCH, UNI, TAO and RAIN posted moderate losses, while ETH, BNB, XRP and SOL showed more contained variations, with declines close to 1%.
Overall, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization fell by about US$ 20 billion in a single day, reaching approximately US$ 2,25 trillion.
