- HMSTR token launch on September 26th.
- Airdrop synchronized with launch on TON.
- Hamster Kombat surpasses 300 million players.
Hamster Kombat, a game that has gained a prominent place among games on the Telegram platform, recently announced that its long-awaited HMSTR token will be launched on The Open Network (TON) on September 26. The announcement was made through the game's official channel, where it was also confirmed that an airdrop will coincide with the launch date, benefiting players.
Initially scheduled for July, the launch of the HMSTR token was postponed to allow for the more detailed planning needed to implement the large-scale airdrop. Since its spring debut, Hamster Kombat has attracted more than 300 million players, with more than 80 million active in the last month, according to data released by the game's team.
The game, which became popular due to its “tap to win” format within Telegram, follows the trend started by Notcoin. The latter, a mini app within Telegram, attracted 35 million players and launched one of the most significant gaming tokens of the year.
The team behind Hamster Kombat innovated by incorporating a cryptoexchange management simulation into the gameplay, capturing the attention of a vast audience and generating great anticipation for the launch of the new token, which promises to reward game participants.

The news about the airdrop was released shortly after an incident in which The Open Network faced a significant outage caused by congestion following the launch of another token, called DOGS. A TON representative clarified that, despite the temporary problems, the network has now been restored and is operational.
