MicroStrategy buys another 27.200 Bitcoins and increases its holdings to US$ 30 billion

The largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, MicroStrategy, announced on October 11th another large investment in tokens of the largest cryptocurrency on the market. The news about the acquisition comes amid another record breaking Bitcoin price, breaking the US$ 82 thousand zone today.

In a statement, MicroStrategy reported that it acquired an additional 27.200 Bitcoins between October 31 and November 10, 2024. The company paid an average price of $74.463 for each coin. With this, the new acquisition increased its Bitcoin holdings to 279.420 BTC, which is valued at around $30 billion at current prices.

“The Company announced today that during the period between October 31, 2024 and November 10, 2024, the Company purchased approximately 27.200 bitcoins for approximately $2,03 billion in cash, at an average price of approximately $74.463 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses. The bitcoin purchases were made using the proceeds from the issuance and sale of Shares under the Sales Agreements.”

According to note, as of November 10, 2024, MicroStrategy, together with its subsidiaries, holds a total of approximately 279.420 bitcoins, which were purchased at a total purchase price of approximately $11,9 billion and an average purchase price of approximately $42.692 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses.
