A cryptocurrency meme based on the network Bitcoin (BTC) showed a price explosion over the last day, driven by a “storm” from members of the crypto community on platform X. The memecoin in question is PUPS (Ordinals).
The price of Bitcoin's memecoin, PUPS, has soared amid the recent market crash, with most crypto assets trading in the red. PUPS has accumulated an impressive appreciation of more than 3841% in the last 30 days.
The PUPS memecoin managed to reach an increase of almost 81% in just one day, on April 12th. The cryptocurrency started the day trading at $46,92 before rising above $86,94 after being influenced by the X community.
At the time of publication, the price of PUPS (Ordinals) was quoted at US$87,15, up 17.9% in the last 24 hours. During this period, the cryptocurrency recorded a trading volume of US$52.753.258. In its weekly development, memecoin has achieved impressive growth by appreciating around 338% in the last seven days.
The recent rally capitulated the price of the cryptocurrency to surpass its all-time high. The highest price paid for PUPS was $95,02, recorded on April 13 (approximately 3 hours ago). The current price is 6,77% lower than the historical peak.
Given the popularity of cryptocurrency, the community entered into a debate about the asset's “nickname”. Supporters and the team behind the crypto PUPS have labeled it “the first memecoin” in Bitcoin. However, some participants in the crypto community have shown some resistance.
